Pallet Truck Operative

We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Pallet Truck Operative to join our team and support the efficient movement of stock throughout our Packhouse and Dispatch operations.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for transporting pallets safely and efficiently, supporting production and dispatch activities, and ensuring products are moved and stored correctly while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

·         Operating manual and electric pallet trucks safely and efficiently.

·         Moving pallets of product between production, storage and dispatch areas.

·         Loading and unloading products in line with operational requirements.

·         Ensuring pallets are stored safely and correctly within designated locations.

·         Supporting production and dispatch teams by delivering stock as required.

·         Carrying out visual checks on pallets and products during movements and reporting any issues to management.

·         Assisting with stock movements and general warehouse duties.

·         Maintaining accurate communication with supervisors and colleagues regarding stock movements and operational requirements.

·         Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within work areas.

·         Following all health and safety, food safety and company procedures.

·         Supporting other operational activities as required.

What We're Looking For

·         Previous experience operating pallet trucks in a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics or production environment.

·         Good awareness of workplace health and safety requirements.

·         Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

·         Good communication and teamwork skills.

·         Strong attention to detail.

·         Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

·         Willingness to follow instructions and company procedures.

·         Flexible approach to work and working hours when required.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What We Offer

·         45 hours per week across 5 days.

·         Core working hours of 07:00-17:30 with flexibility required.

·         £13.31 per hour. Overtime paid at time and a quarter after 45 hours.
